Building shows that are easy to love.

Founding Artistic Director  -  Devil's Isle Shakespeare Company (Bermuda)
Associate Artistic Director  -  Chesapeake Shakespeare Company (Baltimore, MD)
Theatre is teamwork. As a team leader, I view my role as a trusted servant of the cast and the production. I firmly believe that the rehearsal process can be simultaneously loving and professional. If you want to know more about this, I encourage you to ask any of the actors or stage managers that I have worked with recently. Let them tell you about me.

I build productions with music and movement that invite the audience to exercise their imaginative muscles. I don't want a lavishly expensive set; I would rather pick up a shoe and convince the audience that it's a dog or a bomb or a payphone. My experience is that, if the invitation is correct, the audience will always RSVP "Yes."

I am not interested in theatre as a form of luxury entertainment. I love working with theatre companies that make themselves easily accessible to a broad and diverse audience--and on productions that treat real problems like isolation, apathy, over-digitization, and spiritual pain.
